Mme Immaculée NSENGIYUMVA, secrétaire-générale de l’AFAB (www.akeza.net)
Au Burundi, les gens optent souvent de travailler en collectivité. On a toujours besoin d’un accompagnement quelconque, surtout quand on est dans le monde des affaires. L’AFAB (Association des Femmes Entrepreneures du Burundi) s’est donné pour mission de promouvoir la femme entrepreneure. Akeza.net est allé à leur rencontre.
La femme semble hésiter dans le circuit du business. Pour contrer ce problème, ou plutôt pour motiver ces dernières, une association a été créée. L’AFAB fait la promotion de l’auto développement de la femme à travers l’encadrement et l’accès aux microcrédits, comme nous l’a précisé Mme Immaculée NSENGIYUMVA, secrétaire-générale de l’Association des Femmes entrepreneurs du Burundi.
Selon Immaculée NSENGIYUMVA, la plupart de femmes viennent à l’AFAB avec des projets tandis que d’autres forment des petits groupes pour bénéficier des opportunités d’affaires qu’offrent l’AFAB. Elle explique que les avantages d’être membre de l’AFAB sont entre autres la formation sur l’entrepreneuriat, l’étude de marché, le marketing, la rédaction d’un plan d’affaire qui matérialise l’idée de projet. Après cette formation, l’association aide les membres à contracter des crédits auprès de l’institution de micro finance WISE.
Mme la secrétaire générale précise que l’AFAB est ouverte pour toutes les femmes appartenant à différentes couches sociales : instruites, non instruites, agricultrices, …etc. pourvu qu’elles s’engagent à véhiculer les valeurs de l’organisation (solidarité, responsabilité sociale, citoyenneté, esprit d’excellence, neutralité et honnêteté). Elles doivent être capables de contribuer financièrement à raison de 12 000 Fbu par an.
A propos de l’ AFAB
L’AFAB est une association sans but lucratif créé en 1992 par un groupe de vingt femmes qui se sont mises ensemble pour pallier aux problèmes liés au non accès aux sources de financement ; elle a été agrée en 2003. Aujourd’hui l’AFAB compte jusqu’à 300 membres réparties dans 11 secteurs d’activités : agri business, hôtellerie et tourisme, services, commerce général, art et artisanat, industrie, banque et assurance, mines, technologie de l’information et de la communication, bâtiments et travaux publics et transports.
Dans ses projets d’avenir, l’AFAB compte continuer à renforcer les capacités des femmes entrepreneurs, améliorer le climat des affaires. Elle compte également faire l’extension de sa zone d’action vers les pays de la communauté Est africaine dans le but d’échanger les expériences avec les pays de l’Afrique de l’est.
